Summit Africa's highest peak, then unwind on Zanzibar's white-sand beaches — the ultimate Tanzania combo.
This is the trip people dream about: stand on the Roof of Africa at 5,895m, then 48 hours later be sipping a cocktail in an infinity pool on the Indian Ocean. Our 14-day combo gives your body time to recover, your story-bank time to fill, and your tan time to develop.
The mountain section uses the spectacular 8-day Lemosho Route — the best balance of scenery, acclimatisation and summit success. After the climb, a buffer day in Moshi for recovery and laundry, then a flight to Zanzibar for five nights on the beach. Fully customisable: swap routes, beaches, or add safari days.
Met at Kilimanjaro Airport (JRO) and transferred to your Moshi hotel for an overnight rest before the climb. Pre-trek briefing and gear check with your lead guide.
The full 8-day Lemosho Route via Mti Mkubwa, Shira Plateau, Lava Tower, Barranco, Karanga, Barafu and summit at Uhuru Peak (5,895m). Descend via the Mweka Route. See our detailed Lemosho 8-day itinerary for the full day-by-day climb breakdown.
A well-earned rest day in Moshi. Sleep in, do laundry, get a massage, enjoy a proper meal. Optional half-day Materuni waterfall and coffee tour if you have energy left. Overnight at hotel.
Morning transfer to Kilimanjaro Airport for a flight to Zanzibar (about 1.5 hours). On arrival, met and transferred to your beachfront resort. Check in, find a sunbed, order something cold.
Three full beach days. Swim, snorkel, sleep, repeat. Optional half-day excursions: Stone Town walking tour, Mnemba Atoll snorkelling, Jozani Forest red colobus walk, sunset dhow cruise, or a spice farm tour. Final morning: transfer to Zanzibar Airport for your onward flight.
From $3,650 per person — the ultimate bucket-list Tanzania trip.
