This is our flagship safari — seven days that cover every iconic park of Tanzania's Northern Circuit. You'll see the elephant herds of Tarangire, the tree-climbing lions of Lake Manyara, the endless plains of the Serengeti (and the Great Migration in season), and finish in the wildlife-packed Ngorongoro Crater.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1

Moshi/Arusha → Tarangire National Park

Morning pick-up and drive to Tarangire (about 3.5 hours), the park famous for its huge elephant herds and ancient baobab trees. Picnic lunch in the park, then a full afternoon game drive. Overnight at lodge/tented camp.

Day 2

Tarangire → Lake Manyara → Karatu

Morning Tarangire game drive, then transfer to Lake Manyara National Park. Famous for its tree-climbing lions, large flocks of flamingos on the alkaline lake, and dense baboon troops. Overnight in Karatu on the crater highlands.

Day 3

Karatu → Serengeti National Park

Drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation highlands (with stops at the crater rim viewpoint) and onwards into the Serengeti. Afternoon game drive en route to your central Serengeti camp.

Day 4

Full Day Serengeti — Central

Spend the full day exploring central Serengeti (Seronera Valley) — the park's best year-round wildlife viewing area, known for lion prides and resident leopards. Optional early morning hot-air balloon safari (extra cost).

Day 5

Serengeti — Migration Area (seasonal)

Game drives in the area where the Great Migration is currently located: northern Serengeti (Jul–Oct), western corridor (May–Jul), or southern plains (Dec–Mar). Your guide will navigate to the best concentration of wildlife.

Day 6

Serengeti → Ngorongoro Crater Rim

Morning game drive in the Serengeti, then drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Optional stops at Olduvai Gorge (paleontology) or a Maasai village. Overnight on the crater rim — bring warm clothes, it's chilly at 2,300m.

Day 7

Ngorongoro Crater Descent → Return

Pre-dawn descent into Ngorongoro Crater — the world's largest intact volcanic caldera, home to densest concentration of wildlife on earth. Big Five sightings are common in a single morning. After lunch, ascend and drive back to Arusha/Moshi or Kilimanjaro Airport.
